Acting for the Camera and Beyond! $275

Students will have a one-of-a kind experience working with GUEST TEACHING ARTIST EMILY HOPE WEBSTER while learning about basic acting for camera techniques, improvisation and essential skills for being prepared for auditions! Emily has an impressive history as not only a child television star, but also running a major talent agency commercial division before returning here to CT to raise her family! We are SO THRILLED to have her join the HCT team.
Advanced Performance Troupes: Mark Twain Players* $225

The Mark Twain Players are a specialty performance troupe unique to Hartford Children's Theatre. This troupe will perform as part of the June 11th Tom Sawyer Day—which is a Hartford-wide celebration of Mark Twain, Tom Sawyer and the other colorful characters from an icon of American literature. This is a rare opportunity to perform for a new audience and will be heavily promoted throughout Hartford- truly, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The theme for this year is Pirates! In addition, HCT will be part of a special Mother’s Day Event at the Twain House & Musuem: The Mother's Day Weekend Tea Party with the Clemens Girls. Events of the day will include a tea party with the Clemens Girls in our Great Hall (as portrayed by HCT actors) with book signing and Q&A with the authors of “Merrilee Mannerly.” A performance by the HCT students based around the theme of good manners will also be a part of the event. **Previous HCT experience or Audition with Education Director Lisa Foss required for casting.

THIS COURSE OF STUDY IS INTENDED FOR SERIOUS STUDENTS OF ALL AGES WHO ARE LOOKING TO CONCENTRATE IN A PARTICULAR ARTISTIC DISCIPLINE AND BENEFIT FROM ONE ON ONE INSTRUCTION WITH AN ESTEEMED HARTFORD CHILDREN'S THEATRE TEACHING ARTIST.

Private Acting Coaching (5 Lessons) $125-200 This is a customized class which will give students the opportunity to work one-on- one with a member of our professional teaching staff. Attention will be given to voice & speech work, character development, physical acting, audition techniques and material selection. Intended for dedicated students and actors!
Guitar Lessons or Piano Lessons $125 (5 Lessons)
Ages: All ages Saturdays 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM by appointment only 30 min. sessions
All levels are welcome to study with our professional guitar teachers. *Purchase of a music book based on your starting level will be required. All ages are welcomed!
Private Voice Lessons $200 (5 lessons)
