Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the crowd - the theatre crowd, that is! Join the Mark Twain Players, a specialty performance troupe unique to Hartford Children's Theatre, for this year's Tom Sawyer Day on Saturday, June 9th. This year's theme is "Baseball," so we'll put together a performance of "Casey at the Bat" and other sports and games stories from the nineteenth century. You'll learn how boys and girls played in Mark Twain's time, and share those experiences with families! You'll dress in costume and stay in character all day - just like they do in Colonial Williamsburg, Disney World, and Strubridge Village. This combination of history, theatre, and improvisation is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, taught by Julia Pistell of The Mark Twain House & Museum and Sea Tea Improv. Please join us for this day of family fun and history!
** Previous HCT experience or Audition with Edication Director Lisa Foss is required for casting.
