Education Department Job Opportunities

  • Teaching Artists Needed!

HCT is always looking to enhance its team of teaching artists with passionate and creative people who enjoy working with kids of all ages.

Specifically, we are soliciting potential teachers for our drama school, special projects, vacation camps and, particularly, our growing outreach and residency programs.  Experienced guitar and piano teachers are also being interviewed.

We will also be accepting resumes for Directors for our Education Department Productions.

Family Main Stage Job Opportunities

HARTFORD CHILDREN’S THEATRE is now hiring for their 2010-2011 Family Main Stage Season “Pure Imagination.”  Productions include: Willy Wonka (September 24 – October 3, 2010); Schoolhouse Rock Live! (November 2010); Annie (January 7 – January 16, 2011); Class Clown (March 2011) and 13 (April 29 – May 15, 2011).

Hartford Children’s Theatre is now accepting applications for Directors, Choreographers and Musical Directors for its 2010-2011 Family Main Stage Series “Pure Imagination.” 

 

STAGE MANAGERS & ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGERS

COSTUME DESIGNERS
Hartford Children’s Theatre is now accepting applications for Costume Designers for its 2010-2011 Family Main Stage Series “Pure Imagination.”  Applicants must be able to conceptualize all designs for the production, offer renderings and costumes plots, pull and build/acquire all costumes within budgetary requirements.  The applicant must be able to work closely with the artistic staff and posses strong communication skills. 

LIGHTING DESIGNERS
Hartford Children’s Theatre is now accepting applications for Lighting Designers for its 2010-2011 Family Main Stage Series “Pure Imagination.”  Applicants must be able to develop lighting plots, create special lighting effects, focus and set cues. 

SOUND DESIGNERS
Hartford Children’s Theatre is now accepting applications for Sound Designers for its 2010-2011 Family Main Stage Series “Pure Imagination.”   Applicants must be skilled at developing a sound design for each production based on the needs of the scrip, coordinate the rental of additional sound equipment as needed for the production and supervise the Sound Board Op. 

SCENIC ARTISTS
Hartford Children’s Theatre is now accepting applications for Scenic Artists for its 2010-2011 Family Main Stage Series “Pure Imagination.”  Applicants must posses strong artistic / painting skills, be able to work closely with the Scenic Designer and is responsible for all painted elements of the set.
