How do I receive information on the programming and events of HCT?

There are several ways to find out more about what's happening at HCT!

If you have specific questions about age recommendations for particular productions, or about the best placement for a child who is interested in taking one of our drama classes, contact our Education Director, Nora Matthews. If you are interested in bringing drama programming to your child's school, contact our office. Our staff is always happy to answer questions!

The best ways to get stay informed about HCT programming on an ongoing basis is to have yourself added to our mailing list and e-newsletter.

How can I make a donation or volunteer at HCT?

We are always eager to receive donations, materials, or volunteer time!

DONATIONS: Wish lists and calls for volunteers are periodically posted on our e-newsletter. You can also call us at 860-249-7970 ext. 12 and, in the case of material donations, pickup can be arranged. Checks can be made payable to Hartford Children's Theatre and mailed to 360 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, CT 06105. Donations are tax deductible under 501(c)(3). Mastercard and Visa are also gladly accepted!

VOLUNTEERS: The HCT Friends Organzation coordinates volunteer activities. If you and/or your civic organization would be interested in volunteering time, we would be happy to discuss our projects and ways in which we can match your interest in the dramatic arts with our needs. For more information email our Education Director, Nora Matthews.

NOTE: We are a non-union facility and our acting positions are unpaid.

Where does HCT hold its productions and classes?

Most HCT classes and productions are held at our state-of-the-art facility on the HCT campus at 360 Farmington Avenue, across the street from the Mark Twain House. Formal performances are usually held in our own Carriage House Theatre on campus. However, some HCT performances and events, such as our annual full-scale musical, are held at other locations in the Greater Hartford area. Please confirm location with us before attending an HCT event to be sure you are going to the right location!

Can I submit my headshot and resume for casting consideration?

Yes! Headshots and resumes are always welcome and kept on file for future casting consideration. Please send all materials to:
